Hello Hockey Families!

It's time for Team South Dakota Tryouts for the 2024-2025 Season. 

Where: Scheel Ice Plex, Sioux Falls, SD

Dates: May 31st-June 2nd, 2024

Cost $100.00

Tier II National Tournament Teams

18U (2006 & 2007 birth years)

16U (2008 & 2009 birth years)
14U (2010 & 2011 birth years)

You may not tryout for a teams outside of your birth year.

The goal is to have four teams at the 14U & 16U age classification and at least two teams at the 18U age classification with approximately 15 skaters and at least one goalie per team.  Activities begin Friday Evening with a warm-up practice for each age classification along with a goaltender only session.  There will be a Saturday morning practice,  followed by the scrimmage sessions where each team will play three  games.  Teams will play twice on Saturday and once on Sunday.  From there, evaluators will work together to select the roster (including alternates), and invitations will extended within 1-2 weeks of the camp.

Since its inception, South Dakota's National tournament teams have achieved remarkable success, the 16s winning four times (runner up in 2021) and the 14s winning the Championship in 2022!  TSD alumni includes some of the finest hockey talent to play in our State.  Earning a roster spot, playing on behalf of South Dakota while competing for a national championship will create relationships and memories you will not forget.

Each Player must have a USA Hockey 2022-23 or 2023-24 number to signup for the SDAHA Team SD Tryouts.
